  • Hi Stu,

    Sometimes a person will walk into a car yard at the worst possible time in their life. They will need a new car for multiple reasons, one being a practicality, another being that the new car is a symbol of a new beginning. They know what sort of car they want and they know that any sales person in that car yard will see them only as a potential profit, and, the person thinks, they’ll probably be ripped off somehow. It’s what I believed anyhow. But then there was you, Stu. You were chill, got my meaning when I said, ‘I hate buying cars,’ (like I’d bought one every month for the past ten years when in fact this was the first time I’d bought a car of my own in twenty five years and I was stressed.) You said, ‘I couldn’t think of anything worse than buying a car...maybe you’re after a people mover?’ You casually pointed to them. (We’d been looking at vans. They were Nissans. I wanted a Toyota.) My kids and I liked one of the people movers.
    ‘Do you have to come for the test drive?’ I asked hoping you’d say no because I’m really nervous driving with other people in the car. You said, ‘Nah - that’s the last thing you need is me breathing down your neck while your taking it for a drive.’ After a small struggle with the hand brake which in a Vellfire is actually a foot brake (who knew?) my kids and I went for a drive. What we didn’t tell you is, because I was nervous about driving a new car and I didn’t really know the Hutt, we got slightly lost, but not as lost as they were in the TV programme ‘Lost.’ I bought the car. It was easier than buying a pair of shoes. You, Stu, were professional but not in a stuck-up-wear-a-tie -and-sell-your-grandmother way. WCD felt like quality. Thanks for my car.     Just wanted to say a big thanks to all the Team at Wholesale Cars Direct. I purchased a VW Polo a few months ago and I've had a few issues but the team was great - sorted everything out for me and supplied a loan car when needed. The patience and the service I was given was amazing.
    Ryan was really great dropping my car back to me when needed he explained what had been done and ensured I was happy with the outcome and the car was returned immaculately presented.
    I'd definitely recommend buying a car from your company, this was my second time and the follow up is really second to none.

  • My partner and I recently purchased not one but two vehicles from Wholesale Cars Direct and would recommend them over any of the other yards either of us have dealt with. This was my second time purchasing from WCD, and both times they have been fantastic. We received excellent service right from we when walked on to the yard. They asked us what we were looking for, listened to us, made some suggestions and organised test drives of a couple of vehicles for us in no time — even though the ones we wanted were difficult to get out of the yard. We found one we really liked and instantly found another after we had purchased the first. The team organised a few touch ups and a full tank of gas in both vehicles and was super understanding when we had issues with our bank. After having the cars for a couple of days we noticed some minor issues and went back to talk to the team. The after-market service is where they absolutely excel!! They were happy for us to bring them in and get everything looked at. They gave as a tidy wee loan car for a couple of days and went about making everything perfect. This included fixing an electronic steering wheel that wouldn’t go up and down on one vehicle, and a full set of tyres to replace the set that had flat-spots on the other. They didn’t charge us for either of these things and seemed genuinely pleased to see us each time we came in. Their attitude was always “we wouldn’t want a car with that issue and you shouldn’t either, so we’ll make it right”. We will both be recommending WCD enthusiastically to everyone.   • Our Trust recently purchased a Nissan minibus van from Wholesale Cars Direct. We are based in Auckland and were in urgent need of a near new van to replace a van we had that was getting old and had ongoing mechanical issues. We thought purchasing a van on-line would be tricky and a bit of a hassle. But the information presented by WCD, the AA rating, etc. gave us full confidence that this was the right purchase. I contacted WCD and within a couple of days we were able to complete the transaction through e-mail and the van was dispatched on a truck and was delivered to us in Auckland, no problems. My staff and I were super pleased when it arrived, it was clean, had fresh warrant and we also decided to go with the seat and external paint protection package. The van drives like a dream, it is comfortable, had less than 10k on the clock and it was perfect for our transportation needs. Ramon was super easy to work with, and Steve followed up after we had got the van. The whole thing only took us a few days to organise and before we knew it, our urgent problem was dealt with. We highly recommend WCD, we can trust them, they are the “real deal”.
    Thanks to the WCD team I will check to see all their stock when I purchase more replacement vehicles.

    Good afternoon Kim and Warwick.
    Just a note to thank you also. We don't often get a chance to show what we pride ourselves on.
    Personally I really wish every car we sold never had an issue. Part of the reason for fully AA checking every car is our piece of mind just as much as yours.
    I really appreciate your acknowledgement here. If it is okay with you both, is it okay to put this on our website? removing your contact and last name for your privacy.
    To me this service is more important than selling cars. I believe if all i hear in business is good news I haven't got a good business, so when we hear of bad news, I measure always on how we react and the speed of it. Thanks for the opportunity.
